July 16th & 17th are Summer Prime Days here in Canada.
I am so pumped because some of my favourite that I have talked about on Instagram are on sale and some new items we need for our home are massively discounted.
First up: SECURITY CAMERAS
Last year we had a home broken into as we were upstairs sleeping. It was a really scary experience for us, especially since we have young children. Ever since then I have been researching home security cameras and narrowed it down to the Google NEST line. In past years they were on sale so I was extremely happy this morning when I logged on to see that they were PRIME sale items.
We started off by grabbing a NEST doorbell cam:
We are then going to outfit the perimeter of our home with cameras. Three of those will need flood lights so we went with this Google NEST outdoor wired camera with flood light:
The other ones that don’t need lights we grabbed directly from Google as Amazon wasn’t offering them. They are the Nest Cam + outdoor power cable:
INSIDE SECURITY
Next, my husband wanted us to have window sensors that are connected to our Apple Home. as we have a long windows that are large and reach the floor of many main level rooms. We went with the Aqara Vibration Sensors. We got a total of 12:
We also went with 9 door sensors as well. We liked the reviews on the previous brand so we stuck with them.
Once everything arrives we will have our technician come over and he will take a day to install them. I can’t tell you the peace of mind they will bring to us all.

Our middle daughter is starting school next week so we got her a 12 oz YETI tumbler like her older sister has. It was also included in the PRIME Day sale.
